Infiniti has announced that it is upgrading two of its mid-sized cars even though they are still in the middle of their product cycle. Nissan's luxury brand revealed that new upgrades are on the way for the Infiniti Q50 and Infiniti QX60.
The Infiniti Q50 will receive upgraded powertrains. On the other hand, the Infiniti QX60 will have new stylings.

While no new design will be released for the Q50, Infiniti is lining up some pretty significant engine upgrades for the mid-sized sedan. First in line is the Infiniti Q50 Red Sport 400, which, as the name suggests, will sport 400 horsepower delivered by the twin turbo 3.0-liter V6 engine, according to Jalopik. The Red Sport moniker refers to the sport badge located on the car's fenders and rear.
The Infiniti Q50 Red Sport comes in a handful of drive selections ranging from Eco to Sport+. Although official pricing has not been confirmed yet, market analysts expect the car to fetch a price tag of around $55,000.
The Inifiti QX60 is the company's flagship in the mid-sized SUV market. The 2016 Infiniti QX60 looks very much the same as the standard 2016 model. However, it does sport a new front and rear styling which, from the looks of it, takes its cue from the 2015 version.
According to Forbes, the Infiniti QX60 also has newly designed headlamps and grille, which sports new LED running lights. The tail lamps and lift gate also received a facelift, but still looks very much similiar with its predecessor.
Inside the new QX60, Infiniti introduced a new seat trim with far more intricate sew styles than with the previous model. The instrument panel also feels softer and looks more luxurious.
One of the biggest criticism Nissan received over the years is its car's somewhat mediocre handling and ride control. In order to remedy this, the Japanese automaker is throwing in new and upgraded suspension on the Infiniti Q50 and QX60.
