Mark your calendars! Chinese smartphone company OnePlus has announced that its latest flagship device called the OnePlus 3 will debut in the second quarter of this year.
According to CNET, OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei said in a statement that the launch will be "at the end of the second quarter" - which means the smartphone will set to unveil sometime in April or June. He added that the new smartphone will hopefully "captivate" users just like their first ever release, the OnePlus One. Pei explained that fans should also expect a new design, hinting a considerable change from the previous flagship, the OnePlus 2.

Pei said the United States will be OnePlus' target focus this year. He also emphasized the use of "traditional marketing" strategies to promote their products. Pei did not say much about the specs of the upcoming OnePlus 3 smartphone. But there are a lot of rumors about the specs of the device.
The device will likely be powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 820 processor paired with 3 GB of RAM. According to rumors, the device will be fueled with a large battery and will feature a QHD display panel. In terms of its design, there are rumors that the smartphone will sport a metallic casing and a front facing speaker, similar to HTC's Boom Sound designs.
Some have suggested that the OnePlus 3 smartphone will have a fingerprint sensor feature. Also, there is a big possibility that it could sport a 5.5-inch display and a Type C USB port. The device will be available in two built-in storage variants-16 GB internal storage with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB storage with 5 GB of RAM. The smartphone is expected to run on the Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system.
