Recent reports have emerged that Cavaliers point guard Kyrie Irving is "unhappy" in Cleveland and that he wants to play for another team, which again prompt speculations of a trade with the Los Angeles Clippers in exchange for All-Star guard Chris Paul.
The rumors about a potential trade between the two All-Star floor generals have been swirling since last offseason and it has resurfaced again this time following basketball analyst Stephen A. Smith's recent comments that Irving would "prefer to be someplace other than Cleveland".

Speaking on his show First Take, Smith disclosed the above-mentioned scenario.
"Dating back to last year, I've been told that Kyrie Irving ain't too happy being in Cleveland," said Smith, as reported by the Washington Post "The situation is not ideal for him. I don't know the particulars, I haven't spoken to him personally. It's something that I've been hearing for months, that under ideal circumstances he would prefer to be someplace other than Cleveland."
The Cavs are still sitting on top of the Eastern Conference with a 42-17 record, going 7-3 in their last 10 assignments, which had a lot of NBA fans surprised and speculating because of Irving's supposed unhappiness.
There were also rumors that LeBron James' return to Cleveland last season may have brought it down on the 2014 FIBA World Cup Most Valuable Player.
Meanwhile, Fansided suggested the trade scenario sending Irving and Russian center Sasha Kaun to the Clippers in exchange for Paul, a nine-time NBA All-Star.
The report noted that just like the Cavs, the Clippers are also headed "for big changes this summer if - and when - they fall short of their championship aspirations".
It should also be noted that head coach Doc Rivers had been open to the possibility of dealing any or all of the Big Three of CP3, Blake Griffin, and DeAndre Jordan in the summer if keeping the trio is no longer working out.
While Paul is already 30 years old, he still has a lot of value especially on orchestrating the offense and being a team leader. Currently, he is averaging 19.9 points, 4.0 rebounds, 9.6 assists, and 2.1 steals in 33.3 minutes per game.
