Bayern Munich head coach Pep Guardiola, who is reportedly going to take over coaching chores at Manchester City this summer, wants his current goalkeeper Manuel Neuer to join him in his transfer to the English Premier League squad next season.
Mirror reported that the 29-year-old Neuer, Guardiola's reliable goal stopper with the Bavarians at the moment, is one of the Spanish manager's "dream targets" in the summer when he takes over from Manuel Pellegrini as the new head honcho at the Etihad.

The report also said that current City number one Joe Hart's future will be in doubt as Guardiola is said to be "planning a major squad overhaul" and wants a "sweeper-keeper" as a "key part of his philosophy" and it was Neuer who reportedly fits the bill more than anyone else.
Neuer, a Germany international, still has three years remaining in his deal with Bayern and initial negotiations are underway for a contract extension. The 6-foot-4 Gelsenkirchen, West Germany native is said to asking a huge £300,000 weekly wage, which is "nearly double what Bayern's current top-earners make", as per ESPN.
The cash-rich Manchester squad is said to have no problems providing such compensation and more, which would definitely lure in Neuer. The main hurdle would be convincing Der FCB to sell their prized goal tender.
It was also reported that if City and Guardiola will not be able to close the deal with Bayern and Hart fails to satisfy the Spaniard that he is his kind of goalkeeper, then they are "prepared to look elsewhere".
The 28-year-old Hart has been with City for nine seasons now, since 2006-2007, and had been one of the most influential players in the team's locker room throughout the years. It is certainly a big deal both for the club and players if Guardiola eventually decides to place him on the bench or to sell him completely this summer.
