Alcatel ONETOUCH Fierce XL Review

Alcatel ONETOUCH Fierce XL Review

(Photo : YouTube) Alcatel ONETOUCH Fierce XL is now available for purchase for the price of $139 USD.

A few weeks ago, Chinese smartphone maker Alcatel unveiled its latest device called the ONETOUCH Fierce XL with Windows 10 operating system. The device was originally announced last year and sports an Android operating system onboard.

The Alcatel ONETOUCH Fierce XL device is particularly praiseworthy in terms of its display. The device has a sharp color and text display, and its ample brightness more than offset its lower pixel density. This also compensates for its awful screen material, which has a sticky graininess that just feels gross. Equally awful is the mediocre speaker, which is terrible even by smartphone standards.

The ONETOUCH Fierce XL with Windows 10 operating system is a budget phablet that features a 5.5-inch display screen with a 1280 x 720 resolution. It is powered by a 1.1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 quad-core processor and equipped with 2GB of RAM. On the software side, the tablet runs on Android 5.2.2 Lollipop operating system

The device comes with a built-in 16 GB internal storage, which can be further expanded up 32 GB via a microSD card. In terms of the battery, the device is fueled by a 2500mAh non-removable battery. On the camera, the phablet sports an 8-megapixel rear shooter and 2-megapixel front-facing camera.

Everything else about the phone ranges from mediocre to decent-at-best. Ultimately, it is a large-sized budget phone that runs Windows 10 Mobile. Nothing else can really be said about it. Alcatel ONETOUCH Fierce XL is now available for purchase for the price of $139 USD.

The Fierce XL, which is a follows up to the lackluster Fierce 2, was launched on Nov. 2 last year with MetroPCS before popping onto T-Mobile later in the holiday season.
