Facebook is now taking some action to get rid those useless links on News Feeds.
The team is tweaking how stories appear on individual News Feeds to minimize "clickbait" or headlines that attract users to click on stories that have no substance.
Facebook said on in its blog post on Monday that its continually under pressure from users to have better content in their News Feeds.

Facebook is now employing a metric called "time spent on page."
The team said if users click on the link and stay there to read, it suggests they clicked on it because of its valuable content.
Clicking the link and then going back to Facebook instantly, however, tells Facebook the link isn't helpful to them.
"We're making two updates, the first to reduce click-baiting headlines, and the second to help people see links shared on Facebook in the best format," said Khalid El-Arini, a Facebook research scientist and product specialist Joyce Tang.
These changes could have a major impact on digital companies due to its influence on driving traffic to the sites.
Facebook will also monitor whether people are commenting on and sharing certain content.
The company will also favor posts with links to news stories next to the headline. Meaning, people would likely click the link displayed in the link format rather than links on the photo caption.
The changes are likely to only affect a "small set of publishers who are frequently posting links with click-bait headlines."
