Searching on Facebook via mobile is quite difficult due to its smaller screen and navigation is unresponsive on heavy pages and photos.
The new experiment called “improvement to search on mobile.” But there are no indications that the keyword search will be rolled out to all users or future plan to bring it to the desktop site.
Facebook is apparently strict when it comes to searching older posts due to tricky and inconsistent algorithm. Another reason would be the huge amount of posts on the social network including data with same keywords and phrases.
The giant social media will still support its privacy option called “who should see this” option for those Facebook users who want to hide older photos and statuses.
The Facebook new tool aims to give better search option for its users.
CEO Mark Zuckerberg said that the renewed version of Facebook Search will be a powerful tool just like Google Search Engine.
Facebook is now operating two mobile apps, Facebook for Android through Google Play Store and iOS App Store of Apple.
