Power forward Ryan Anderson is reportedly planning a New Orleans Pelicans exit when he becomes a free agent this summer and the rumored potential destination teams for the eight-year veteran are the Sacramento Kings, Phoenix Suns, and Cleveland Cavaliers.

Basketball Insiders reported that according to close sources, Anderson "is strongly considering a change of scenery and a fresh start with a new team" and there are several ballclubs who are said to be interested in acquiring the 27-year-old stretch four.

The 2012 NBA Most Improved Player had been the subject of a lot of trade rumors since last summer, but the Pelicans were hesitant in dealing or releasing him even as this year's NBA trade deadline had passed.

However, recent rumors have emerged that the former California Golden Bears standout "seems to be leaning toward leaving New Orleans" as he is "prepared to hear pitches from other teams" this summer.

Anderson is in the final year of his four-year, $34 million contract with the Pelicans that will make him an unrestricted free agent in July. Although New Orleans still has the capacity to offer him the most money, all indications point out that the club is not willing to give him a max or close to max contract at the end of the season, a salary level that several NBA analysts believe he will command in the free agency period.

The Times-Picayune indicated that the Sacramento Kings, Phoenix Suns and Cleveland Cavaliers are interested and willing to provide him the compensation he deserves. The three teams also reportedly tried to deal for Anderson before the deadline last month, but all negotiations fell through.

Right now, Anderson revealed that, at the moment, he is not discussing anything with the Pelicans regarding his impending free-agency.

"No conversations at all about it," said Anderson. "Obviously I think they are in the same boat, so many things can happen they may have multiple pieces they are thinking about. A lot of stuff that I don't know about obviously that they talk about behind close doors. So I haven't communicated at all with them."

"I've never been a part of free agency, being an unrestricted free agent. Don't know what it's like. Don't know what it's going to be like. Don't know who is going to come in play at all," he added.
