NBA Recap: San Antonio Spurs Beat Chicago Bulls to Extend Best Start of the Season

The league's second-best team San Antonio Spurs continued their home game supremacy by beating the visiting Chicago Bulls with a 109-101 victory at the AT&T Center on Thursday night.
Kawhi Leonard led the Spurs with game-high 29 points with 7 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 steals and 2 blocked shots and LaMarcus Aldridge added 26 points and 10 boards as San Antonio won its 31st consecutive home game victory since the start of the season.

Veteran starting guard Tony Parker scored 20 points and had 12 assists for the Spurs, who have won 40 straight at home going back to last season.
The Western Conference Southwest Division top team is off to its best start after 65 games winning 55 matches and just losing 10 contests. The Spurs also extended their franchise-record home winning streaks this season.
"It's a record season yes, but it doesn't mean anything if we don't go all the way," Parker, who went 10 for 16 from the field in 31:33 minutes in the hardcourt, said.
San Antonio ended the first half of the game with 54-47 lead and managed to score 30 moree points while holding the Bulls to just 27 points to end up the third quarter with a double digit lead of 10 points 84-74.
Derrick Rose led a 13-6 run in the early minutes of the final period to cut the deficit to just three points and made it 90-87 with still 8:36 minutes to go. However, the Spurs bounced back and retaliated with a 14-5 run and pulled away with a 14-point margin 104-92 with 3:43 minutes remaining on the game clock. San Antonio hangs on with their lead and wrap up the victory.
Rose and Pau Gasol scored 21 points apiece for the Bulls, who have lost five of its last ten games played. E'Twaun Moore went 4 for 5 on 3-pointers and finished the night with 20 points.
San Antonio will be hosting the Oklahoma City Thunder on Saturday and Miami Heat will be visiting the Chicago Bulls on Friday.
