NBA Recap: Oklahoma City Trounce Los Angeles Clipper, Russell Westbrook Scores 30th Career Triple-Double

(Photo : gettyimages.com) Russell Westbrook got the 30th triple-double of his career and his 11th this season as the Thunder triumphed over the Clippers.
Western Conference third and fourth leading teams Oklahoma City Thunder and Los Angeles Clipper have tested the waters as a potential playoff showdown between the two clubs is fast approaching.
The dynamic duo of Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook displayed their lethal combination on the floor. Durant scored a game-high 30 points with 12 rebounds along with 7 assists and 1 steal. Westbrook had another triple-double game performance under his name with 25 points, 20 assists and 11 rebounds to overwhelm the visiting Clippers with a 120-108 victory on Wednesday evening.

"Just a win, man," Westbrook, who shot 9 for 15 from the field, said. "More important just to see all my teammates happy and all see my teammates enjoy the game and enjoy this win. That's the most important part for me, is just making sure everybody feels comfortable about their game."
Westbrook got the 30th triple-double of his career and his 11th this season.
The Thunder started the game strong scoring 39-29 in the opening quarter, but the visiting Clippers made a 33-25 run in the second quarter to end the first half with 64-62. In the third period of the game, Oklahoma City fired 29 points and limited the LA Clippers to just 21 to make it 93-83 going in to the final period of the match.
The Thunder continued their dominance of the game and even stretched their lead to 19 points 109-90 with over six minutes left to play and maintained their double digit lead all throughout the quarter to wrap the victory.
Jeff Green had 23 points and J.J. Redick scored 22 for the Clippers. Chris Paul contributed 12 points and 16 assists while shooting 5 for 15 from the field.
"They got a little bit of everything tonight," Paul said. "They got the shots they wanted. They got 3s. They got layups. They got a little bit of everything."
