Microsoft slashed the price of the Surface 3 tablet by $150 in the U.S. in February, and Amazon is now offering up to $125 discount on the tablet. The Surface 3 Wi-Fi 64 GB and 128 GB variants are now selling for $385 and $475, respectively on Amazon.

The Surface 3 64 GB and 128 GB editions are available on the Microsoft Store for $499 and $599, respectively. This means Amazon is offering a $115 discount for the 64 GB Surface 3 and a $125 price cut for the 128 GB model. Both models can be shipped for free. Note that these offers are for Surface 3 Windows 10 edition, not the Windows 8.1 OS model.

The Microsoft Surface 3 was launched on Mar. 31 last year and was out on the shelves by May 5. It looks like the Surface Pro 3, which features a magnesium allow chassis. The Surface 3 also features a 10.8-inch screen with full HD resolution of 1920 x 1280 pixels. It is powered by Intel Atom x7 Z8700 quad-core processor and 4 GB of RAM.

The Surface 3 tablet comes with up to 200 GB of external storage support, Intel HD graphics, 8 MP rear camera, 3.5 MP front camera and various accessories such as a TypeCover keyboard, Bluetooth active pen, Wi-Fi, USB 3.0, Mini Display Port, microUSD port and 3.5 mm audio jack.

According to Microsoft, by using the Surface 3 "you can work just as comfortably on your lap as at your desk. Plus, you can easily connect your peripherals and transfer files via a full-size USB 3.0, microSD card reader, and Mini Display Port."
