Sichuan Blue Whales got the better of Liaoning Flying Leopards to even their final series one win apiece in their best-of-seven games showdown for the Chinese Basketball Association title on Sunday.

American reinforcement Mike Harris and former NBA player Hamed Haddadi had a combined 54 points to lead the Blue Whales to a 96-88 victory over the Flying Leopards to claim the their first final win of the series.

Harris scored 29 points and 15 rebounds, while the Iranian veteran center had a spectacular double-double game production of 25 points and 26 boards for the Sichuan, who out-rebounded the host team with 63-50 boards.

Justin Dentmon finished the game with just 12 points and 5 rebounds with 9 assists. Chinese forward Zhang Chunjun chipped in 18 points for the winners, who will be enjoying a home court advantage in Games three, four and five.

"It's glad to win after we lost the first game," Sichuan head coach Yang Xuezeng said. "Our foreign players set the examples and domestic players showed what they got, they trusted each other and really worked together."

The Blue Whales trailed by a double digit in the opening quarter as Liaoning ended the period with 31-21. Sichuan made a big 29-14 run in the second quarter to end the first half with a 50-45 lead.

Liaoning failed to regain the lead back as the Blue Whales managed to produce a combined 46 points in the second half, while controlling the Flying Leopards to just 43 points to seal the win.

American Lester Hudson once again led Liaoning with a double-double game performance of 28 points and 10 rebounds, along with 7 assists.  Shavlik Randolph contributed just 9 points and grabbed 11 rebounds for the host team, who committed 25 personal fouls which gave Sichuan easy points from the foul line. Sichuan made 27 of 34 from the free throw line.

Liaoning's Guo Gailun and Li Xiaoxu finished with 19 and 16 points respectively.
