The 2014 Primetime Emmy Awards would have been lacking if a heartfelt tribute wasn't given to the late, great Robin Williams.
A special segment after the usual In Memoriam montage was dedicated to the comedian during the Monday night ceremony. Billy Crystal, William's former "Father's Day" co-star and longtime friend took the stage to talk about him.

Crystal and Williams have been friends for more than a decade.
As a photograph of the comedian lit the stage, Crystal talked about the energy he brought to the stage, to the world, to their friendship.
He talked about how Williams had the innate ability to make people laugh even during the most dire of situations - from troops who had to face war on a daily basis to even a dying little girl.
"I mean, the brilliance was astounding," Crystal shared. "The relentless energy was kind of ... thrilling. I used to think if I could just put a saddle on him and stay on for eight seconds, I was going to do okay."
Crystal remembered his dear friend as being funny onstage and offstage, saying "He could be funny anywhere."
But as much as he was the comedic genius he was, Crystal shared that Williams was an even better friend. Crystal somberly shared,"It is very hard to talk about him in the past tense because he was so present in all of our lives."
Crystal finished his speech saying of his dear departed friend, "The glow will be so bright, it'll warm your heart, it'll make your eyes glisten, and you'll think to yourselves, "Robin Williams, what a concept."
Various clips and appearances of the comedian were shown, ending with him waving a final goodbye.
Williams died of an apparent suicide last August 11, brought about by his battle with depression, which presumably resurfaced after being diagnosed with Parkinson's disease as well as the cancellation of his TV series, "The Crazy Ones".
The larger-than-life comedian was 63.
