Six other Boston players finished the game with double figures to help the team win their four-game season series against the NBA's worst performing team.
Avery Bradley scored 20 points including three treys and got four steals during the game, while starting center Jared Sullinger contributed a double-double production of 17 points and 13 rebounds for Boston, who improved to 40 wins and 30 losses.
"Our guys came out ready, came out focused," Celtics head coach Brad Stevens told. "We knew it was an important game to play well. You can't always control the results, but you can control your input into it. Guys played with good purpose."
The Celtics began the opening period with a strong 28-16 run. The 76ers scored eight straight points in the early minutes of the second quarter to close the gap within four 28-24, but Boston was able to retaliate with a 27-20 run to keep a double digit lead 55-44.
Philadelphia entered the final quarter trailing by nine 88-79 - although they outscored Boston in the third period with a 35-33 run.
The 76ers made another early rally in the fourth quarter with Carl Landry leading an 8-3 charge to cut the deficit to four 91-87 with 9:20 minutes remaining. However, the Celtics responded with a bigger run to maintain their lead and to come away with the win.
Landry led Philadelphia with 26 points and eight rebounds and Hollis Thompson added 18 points.
