Zootopia Tops International Box Office Chart, Bags Nearly $600M Worldwide

(Photo : YouTube Screenshot) Zootopia is dominating the international box office chart, sweeping in a staggering $600 million worldwide.
Disney's Zootopia is ruling the international box office for the third straight week with a staggering $64.8 million earning across 50 markets, increasing its total revenue to nearly $600 million across the globe.
Over half of Zootopia's earnings come from China, where it has been a hit with a total revenue of $173.4 million since its March 4 opening. Meanwhile, from the rest of the world, France is leading the list at $25.4 million. Trailing behind is Russia at $24.9 million, Germany with $19.2 million and Korea at $18.1 million.

Zootopia's revenue is expected to rise as the detective animals debut in around and Brazil on Thursday as well as in major markets like the United Kingdom and Japan on March 25 and April 23, respectively.
Meanwhile, finishing off second is Leonardo DiCarprio's The Revenant, bagging $36 million this weekend across 25 markets. Of that amount, $33 million came from China. The survival drama movie is set to sweep $500 million in the global box office.
Kung Fu Panda 3, on the other hand, claimed the third spot internationally at $31.8 million this weekend. The movie opened in Italy ($3.8 million), Germany ($2.1 million), Hong Kong ($1.4 million) and Argentina, Vietnam and UAE ($1.2 million each).
Zootopia has asurpassed The Divergent Series: Allegiant at $22 million in more than 75 markets. The third installation of The Divergent Series franchise was released last weekend and has earned $53.4 million dollars internationally, with France leading at $5 million.
London Has Fallen lands in the fifth place with a $10 million gross revenue in more than 40 markets, raising its overseas total to $45 million. It has earned $50 million in the United States in just three weeks.
