China's Yadea Technology Launches Smart e-Scooter

Local e-cycle manufacturer Yadea Technology Group rolled up its curtains for its latest electric scooter Z3 on Thursday, with the goal of taking a bite on the expanding market.
During the launching, Yadea also unveiled a 100-testing-drive project that will provide 100 Z3 units for selected early adaptors to gather comments and feedback.

The latest Z3 e-scooter is powered by rechargeable lithium batteries from Panasonic and uses similar energy that powers Tesla Motors. Xue Bo, Yadea's Product Center director, said that unlike the traditional e-scooter, Z3 has the ability to connect drivers' smartphone through a mobile application and perform tasks such as navigation, lock-up, status review, theft-alarm, and headlamp color customization.
Xue added that the scooter is equipped with a flash charging technology that permits batteries to fully charge in just two hours with a range distance of 120 kilometers per charge.
Yadea Technology Group was founded in 2001 at Jiangsu's Wuxi city. It is a modern manufacturing company with products ranging from electric scooters to electric tricycles, electric bikes, and other special vehicles.
With a posted annual sales of more than 3 million units at 7.2 billion yuan ($1.1 billion), the company managed to establish research and development centers across Guangdong, Jiangsu, Tianjin and Zhejiang provinces.
As of 2015, the company has already put up 1,700 distributing centers in China and is currently being exported to nearly 70 countries including Germany, Italy and the United States.
The company also boasts of 124 national patents and teams up with international firms including Italy-based designer Stefano Giovannoni, German chemical paint company BASF and American motorcycles manufacturer Lightning Motorcycle to bring in developed technologies that are helpful in building its namesake.
For the meantime, renowned testing centers are currently testing and reviewing Yadea's products and are in accordance with the new European norms.
