Bellevue, which is more or less 12 miles east of Seattle, is a strategic location as the Greater Seattle area is a hot spot for tech firms and home to some notable tech giants like Expedia, Microsoft and T-Mobile. Aside from that, Greater Seattle's healthy environment, pool of talent for tech firm developments and relatively cheaper costs that Northern California's Silicon Valley are other perks.

The CEO of adSage Zhaohui Tang believes that the company chose the city as it is also the home of cloud computing technology development. On the other hand, the president of the Association of Technology and Innovation president Bill Liu thinks the company would benefit from its move to Seattle as Bellevue is crowded with talented programmers and developers.

Meanwhile, the city of Bellevue has expressed its excitement over Huawei's decision to establish a center in the area, according to Bellevue's economic development director James Henderson.

Of Huawei's 150,000 workers worldwide, 70,000 are working in R&D. During the CES 2016, Huawei anticipated to become the biggest smartphone maker in the world, outranking Apple in two to three years and Samsung by 2021.
