Chinese smartphone and computer maker Lenovo has announced that it sold 45,000 units of its latest device called the Vibe K5 Plus in its first open sale on Flipkart.

Lenovo conducted the first open sale for the Lenovo Vibe K5 Plus and Lenovo Lemon 3 smartphones in India this week. The Lenovo Vibe K5 Plus 3 smartphone was launched last week with a starting retail price of Rs. 8499 ($127).

The company managed to sell 45,000 units of the phone during the first open sale. The next open sale of Lenovo Vibe K5 Plus smartphone will take place on Flipkart by this coming 30 March.

The Lenovo Vibe K5 Plus 3 smartphone features a metallic body structure. The device is equipped with a 5-inch Full HD (1920 X 1080 pixels) IPS display screen. It is powered by a 64 bit 1.5 GHz Octa core Qualcomm Snapdragon 616 processor paired with 2GB of RAM on board. In terms for the graphics, the device comes with a Adreno 405 GPU inside powereful enough to handle 3D mobile gaming.

The Lenovo K5 Plus cameras will sport a 13-megapixel main camera with LED flash support and a 5-megapixel front camera for selfies and video calling purposes. The smartphone comes with a built-in 16GB internal storage, which can be further expanded up to 32GB via MicroSD card.

The Lenovo Vibe K5 Plus smartphone is currently priced in India at Rs. 8,499 ($127). It comes in Golden and Silver color options.
