Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi has officially unveiled the Xiaoyi Small Ants 2 smart camera in China for the price of 399 Yuan ($61).

Xiaomi is one of the largest smartphone manufacturers in China. The company, which was established in 2010, has managed to become one of the most renowned smartphone makers in the country.  Aside from the smartphone business, the company is also into other smart gadgets such as tablets, air purifiers, security tech, smart scales and many more.

The Xiaoyi Small Ants 2 smart camera is the successor to the Xiaoyi Ants smart surveillance camera which was released last year. What makes this device interesting is that it has an affordable price tag, but with impressive specifications. This Smart Ants 2 camera can capture a full HD 1920 x 1080 pixel video at 25FPS, which is an improvement over the old model, which can only shoot 720p video.

The Xiaoyi Small Ants 2 smart camera also supports viewing a 130-degree wide angle lens with f/2.0 aperture, and uses a CMOS sensor from Panasonic paired with a new-gen S2LM image processing chip. The company also included the LDC distortion correction tech in the camera, along with smart HDR technology. The camera has a 'Human Detection' feature and can automatically detect a human being in the room and will definitely alarm users of intruders.

The Xiaoyi Small Ants 2 can perform all sorts of other actions, such as it can detect if someone raises a fist. This device can also be used a baby monitoring camera as it has a 'Baby Crying' feature, which will basically alarm you if a baby starts crying.

The Xiaoyi Small Ants 2 smart camera will be available in China soon, and it will cost 399 Yuan ($61).
