Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi has announced that its latest device called the Mi 5 is now available for pre-orders via GearBest.

The Xiaomi Mi 5 smartphone was launched recently in Chinese market and received good feedbacks from the consumer. The availability of the phone outside China has been predicted by some tech enthusiast since the demand of the phone keeps on increasing. Xiaomi is offering the Mi 5 smartphone for about $300 in China.

Although the firm has not confirm the release date of the device in the United States, consumers who eagerly want to acquire this new phone can now pre-order it online via GearBest.

The Xiaomi Mi 5 was unveiled at Mobile World Congress last month. The Mi 5 smartphone comes with different models, with 32 / 64 / 128 GB variant storage. The device supports fingerprint scanning and is equipped with 16-megapixel main camera coupled with 4-megapixel snapper on the front. The handset comes with clad metallic and glass combination that should appeal to fans of sleek designs.

In terms of the software, the smartphone runs the latest Android 6 Marshmallow operating out of the box. It is powered by the Snapdragon 820 processor on board paired with 3GB and 4GB of RAM, depending on the model. The standard model of the device features 3GB of RAM and 32GB internal storage, and is priced at the equivalent of $306 in China.

Meanwhile the High version ($352) packs 64GB internal memory of on-board.

The Ceramic Exclusive version of the Mi 5 has 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. It is retailed for around $413. Even though the starting price of the Xiaomi Mi 5 is $440, the cost might change due to import fees, shipping, and taxes.
