Stephy Tang and Alex Fong announced that theydecided to end their 10-year relationship less than two weeks ago, which surprised many of their fans. Though many were saddened by the news, those who are hoping that the two would get back together still have a little glimmer of hope as Stephy did not rule out the possibility of a reconciliation.

Yesterday, Stephy was interviewed at a Hong Kong airport after coming home from a 10-day trip to Taiwan. The Hong Kong singer and actress looked emotionally exhausted but graciously accepted media interviews. She explained that she decided to go on a vacation because she wanted to "calm down before facing everyone."

Breaking down several times during the improptu interview, she revealed that it was not easy for her to announce the breakup and act on the responses and reactions of the people right away.

"I hope everyone understands that a relationship is between two parties," Stephy said. "We were together for so many years, and it's really not easy to explain the cause of our breakup in two or three sentences," she added.

A lot of people, including their fans, looked up to the golden couple whose last movie together was "Anniversary" and believed that they would eventually get married and have a fairytale story. However, Stephy insisted that they are just like any normal couple, who face difficulties and problems, which sometimes can be really hard to explain and sadly, resolve.

Fortunately, there is still hope of a reconciliation between the two. Asked if there is any chance that they would get back together, Stephy bluntly said, "It depends on fate."

She shared that they have remained good friends since the breakup and are hoping that they can continue having a good relationship.

As for Alex, he has also previously explained that he would be willing to work with his ex-girlfriend again.
