Basketball News: Former NBA Player Bobby Brown Inks Deal With Besiktas of Turkey

(Photo : gettyimages.com) Former Shenzhen New Century Leopards player Bobby Brown has moved to Turkey to play for Besiktas Basketbol.
American professional basketball player Robert Douglas "Bobby" Brown has reportedly signed a deal with Turkish Basketball Super League club Besiktas Basketbol on Monday.
Brown played for the Shenzhen New Century Leopards (formerly known Dongguan Leopards) of the Chinese Basketball Association from 2013 to 2016. The 32-year-old point guard is averaging 29.2 points, 6.3 assists, 4.7 rebounds and 1.1 steal per game in his 37 matches played for the 2015-2016 season.

In his three seasons with the Longgang District, Shenzhen, Guangdong-based team, Brown was able to successfully guide the squad to a CBA Semifinal appearance in 2014. He was the league's sixth-best player in assists with an average of 6.3 assists per game. Brown scored 74 huge points in a 137-135 overtime triumph against the Sichuan Blue Whales on December 27, 2013.
He played college basketball for the California State University, Fullerton from 2003 to 2007 before ending up undrafted in the 2007 NBA draft. Brown continued to play professional basketball in Germany after signing up with the Alba Berlin of the German League and Euroleague.
In 2008, he was acquired by the Sacramento Kings in a two-year contract. Brown averaged 5.2 points and 1.9 assists in 14.4 minutes of playing time in the total of 47 games he played for the team.
The former Titans player was traded to the Minnesota Timberwolves on February 2009 and played for 21 games while averaging 5.5 points and 1.4 assists per contest prior to his stint with the New Orleans Hornets. Brown played his last NBA games with the Los Angeles Clippers, where he appeared for 23 official games.
The former NBA player also played with the Polish League club Asseco Prokom, Greek League team Aris, German League side EWE Baskets Oldenburg and Italian League squad Montepaschi Siena, where he won the Euroleague Alfonso Ford Throphy, before moving to China.
Brown has represented the United States; playing in the 2015 Pan American Games in Toronto, where the team won the bronze medal.
