Liaoning opened its season with a 1-0 win over tough team Shijiazhuang Ever Bright FC earlier this month, but their most recent game ended in a 2-3 loss to powerhouse team Shandong Luneng Taishan FC at the Jinan Olympic Sports Center Stadium on March 11th, via Soccerway.
The Northeast Tigers netted the opening goal in the match at the 20th minute with a shot from Zambian striker James Chamanga from an assist by local midfielder Yang Yu.
The lead was short-lived, however, as Taishan Dui quickly responded with an equalizer courtesy of a goal from Brazilian forward Diego Tardelli at the 25th minute.
Shandong got hold of the lead two minutes later with a goal from midfielder Wang Yongpo and even increased it to 3-1 seven minutes into the second half as local striker Yang Xu found the back of Shi Xiaotian's net at the 52nd.
Senegalese striker Ibrahima Touré scored a consolation goal in injury time to make it 2-3 for head coach Ma Lin's side.
Meanwhile, Henan Jianye followed up their impressive 1-0 win over last season's runner-up team Shanghai SIPG with another 1-0 victory, this time against Chongqing Lifan at the Chongqing Olympic Sports Center on March 13th, as per Sofa Score.
Danish defender Eddi Gomes scored the lone goal for Jia Xiuquan' side at the 21st minute, which proved to be the winner in the match as the team won for the second straight time.
The predicted result is a tough 1-0 victory for Henan Jianye to extend their winning run to three games.
Liaoning Whowin starting lineup (4-2-3-1 formation): Shi; Liu, Yang, Thwaite, Wang; Ni, Sun; Chamanga, Troisi, Hu; Touré
