The Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro comes with the Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system out of the box. It has a 16 megapixel camera on the front with f/1.9, autofocus, OIS, LED flash, HDR, touch focus, face detection, and panorama features. On the front, the phone sports an 8 megapixel shooter.
Under the hood, the Galaxy A9 Pro comes with a Qualcomm MSM8976 Snapdragon 652 processor, 4GB of RAM, up to 32GB of expandable built-in memory storage, and a massive 5,000 mAh battery with fast charging capability. The internal memory can be expanded up to 128GB via microSD cards. Other specs include a fingerprint sensor, support for Bluetooth 4.1, GPS, A-GPS, FM Radio, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac W-Fi Direct and NFC connectivity.
In comparison with the original model, the Samsung Galaxy A9 has all the same specs except for the 3GB RAM, the 16GB internal memory, the 13 megapixel primary camera and 4,000 mAh battery. In addition to these devices, Samsung also launched the Galaxy J5 (2016) and Galaxy J7 (2016) smartphones in the Chinese market. It is unclear whether these devices will be available outside of China.
Other Galaxy A devices that were launched earlier this year include the Galaxy A3 (2016), Galaxy A5 (2016) and Galaxy A7 (2016).
