Many celebrities are unhappy that Instagram has decided to implement some changes within the photo-sharing app.

One major modification that it will soon be adopting is the way that one's newsfeed will look like. This means that instead of the usual chronological arrangement, feeds will already be based on the user's interest, BBC News reported.

Called the "algorithmic timelines," any users must already "turn on notifications" should they want to be updated of the whereabouts or latest posts of the persons they are following.

The famous reality star Kylie Jenner, in a post, hinted that such move is kind of unnecessary.

"I hate this new update Instagram is slowly trying to introduce," her Instagram post about the anticipated changes read.

"If it's not broke, don't fix it - I don't really understand it and there has to be another motive because you follow people for a reason," she stated in her post which gathered 170,000 comments from her followers.

Meanwhile, Portuguese clothing seller New Fangle Clothing requested its followers to never forget to turn on the notifications for any updates about the company.

"It's still happening - Instagram is changing and if you don't want to miss any of our updates please turn on post notifications," it requested.

Amid the impending changes in the app, a petition called Keep Instagram Chronological, which already encouraged around 317,000 users to sign up, was even launched.

In a tweet, the photo-sharing site stated, "We're listening and we assure you nothing is changing with your feed right now."

Accordingly, the changes will make Instagram look like Facebook in terms of how it will eventually order its feeds.
