Beyonce's new clothing line will officially be known as Ivy Park. The brand will parade a combination of athletic and leisure garments, which Beyonce admirers have started to fondly call 'athleisure' outfits. The trademark will be launched for the public on April 14.

Ivy Park is the product of well-planned name assemblage that especially derives from the Single Ladies singer's daughter, Blue Ivy. What makes it more interesting, however, is that the term "Ivy" actually contains the Roman numerals IV (four) which represents both the birthdays of Queen Bey and husband Jay Z (September 4 and December 4). The term "Park," on the other hand simply refer to parks where activities related to the clothing line are done - jogging, brisk walking, and exercise among others.
The brand name is a standalone label that is co-owned by Sir Philip Green of Topshop and Beyonce.
In a press release, the five time Grammy winner said that although she has been doing many routines of rehearsals and exercises, she never felt like there was an athletic wear that spoke to her. This dilemma, she says, led to the idea of collaborating with Green to come up with not just a sporty line of clothing, but something that pushes the boundaries of women with the way they look at themselves.
Beyonce added that "Ivy Park" intends to inspire females to understand that beauty is never about physical appearance, but more about the healthy condition of the body, the mind, and the heart.
A video parading the teaser for Ivy Park has been uploaded on YouTube for a feel of what to expect from the clothing line. You may click here to see what Beyonce and Ivy Park has to offer.
