Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is down to $15.4 million on its second Friday at more than 4,200 theaters locally. This gives the film a total of $224.4 million to date.

The movie kicked off its worldwide premiere on March 25 with $81.6 million domestic gross sales. The said figure, however, is not inclusive of March 24's $27.7 million preview earnings which renders the movie's actual first day gross at $53.9 million.

The 70% contrast between the two Fridays ($53.9 million against $15.4 million) has become the basis of critics to predict that that this weekend's gross might reach only a $50 million mark as against its first weekend gross at $166.1 million in North America. The drop, however, is not directly related to failure as other movies with the same trend like The Twilight Saga: New Moon and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 did just fine in the box office

In the international scene, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice has grossed $587.8 million to date, a figure that has, by far, toppled Christopher Nolan's Batman Begins in 2005 which reached a $374 million mark globally.

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice earned a B rating from CinemaScore audiences during last weekend. Its pre-marketing production cost producers a whopping $250 million. Starring Ben Affleck as Batman and Bruce Wayne, and Henry Cavill as Superman and Clark Kent, the movie was directed by Zack Snyder and distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures. It also stars Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Diane Lane, Laurence Fishburned, Jesse Eisenberg, Jeremy Irons, Holly Hunter, and Amy Adams.
