Indian smartphone manufacturer Intex unveiled a new smartphone in the Indian market called Cloud Jewel for the price Rs 5,999 ($90.58). The Intex Cloud Jewel smartphone will be exclusively available via Snapdeal.

During the launch of the smartphone, Mobile Business Head Sanjay, Kumar Kalirona expressed his thought that the smartphone is another brilliant 4G-LTE device from the house of their company and is a true delight for the consumers.

Kumar aid that the year 2016 will be all about 4G-LTE smartphones in India and their company will continue to bring innovative devices at affordable prices for consumers.

"We are happy to partner with Snapdeal for bringing this device exclusively to consumers and are sure of expanding our online reach," added.

The Intex Cloud Jewel smartphone features a 5-inch HD IPS display screen with a 720 x 1280p resolution along with a pixel density of 294ppi. The handheld device is powered by a 1GHz quad-core MediaTek chipset paired with 2GB of RAM on board. The smartphone includes a 16GB internal memory storage, which can be further expanded up to 32GB via a microSD card.

Intex Cloud Jewel smartphone will run the Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system inside. With regards to the camera of the device, the Cloud Jewel sports an 8-megapixel main camera at the back coupled with a 2-megapexil front facing camera for selfies and video calling purposes. The smartphone is powered by a 2500 mAh capacity battery on board.

Regarding the connectivity of the device, the Intex Cloud Jewel supports 4G Network connectivity, 3G (HSPA+), Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS/A-GPS, Micro-USB 2.0, and a 3.5mm audio jack.
