Both teams are currently parading top international talents with Seoul being led by its team captain, Spanish midfielder Osmar Barba, and forwards Adriano of Brazil and Dejan Damjanovic of Montenegro while Shandong has Argentine winger Walter Montillo and Brazilians Diego Tardelli, Jucilei, Gil, and Aloiso at head coach Mano Menezes' disposal.
Seoul defeated Shandong Luneng, 4-1, on March 16th at the latter's home field of Jinan Olympic Sports Center Stadium, during their first meeting this year in Asia's premier club continental tournament, as per Yonhap News.
Adriano scored a brace for the Koreans at the 28th and 71st minutes while Korean right back Go Yo-han and Damjanovic contributing one apiece at the 65th and 68th minutes respectively to complete their team's four-goal haul.
Jucilei netted the consolation goal for the CSL giants at the 62nd to avoid an embarrassing shutout against their regional rivals.
Now playing at their home stadium in South Korea, manager Choi Yong-soo's boys are highly favored to make it two straight wins against the hard-fighting Taishan Dui eleven.
With the win, Seoul remained undefeated while it was also the first loss of Shandong Luneng in the group stage of the said tournament, via ESPN.
The predicted result is a 3-1 romp for FC Seoul as Adriano pulls off another impressive performance right at their home field.
FC Seoul starting lineup (5-3-2 formation): Yoo; Ko K.M., Osmar, Kim W.S., Kim D.W., Ko Y.H.; Shin, Ju, Takahagi; Adriano, Damjanovic
Shandong Luneng starting lineup (4-2-3-1 formation): Wang; Zheng, Dai, Gil, Zhao; Jucilei, Hao; Tardelli, Jin, Wang; Yang
