Apple is expected to unveil the new MacBook Pro and MacBook Air 2016 this coming June and Microsoft could be planning to steal its moment by launching the Surface Book 2 and Surface Pro 5 in the same month. The Microsoft Surface Book 2 and Surface Pro 5 are expected to be launched along with the new Windows 10 Redstone update.

The upcoming major Windows 10 upgrade - the Redstone 2 - will reportedly come to users by summer of 2016. It is expected to arrive as the "Windows 10 Anniversary Update."

The Surface Book 2 is likely to sport a 13.5-inch screen with 4K resolution support and its performance is said to be improved with better battery life and graphics support. The Surface Pro 5 is expected to come with a more enhanced battery life than its predecessor, the Surface Pro 4 which currently has battery drainage issues. It could also feature a 13.3-inch display with 4K resolution, USB-Type C slot and a rechargeable magnetic Surface Pen stylus.

Meanwhile, there are rumors that the Microsoft Surface Book 2 and Surface Pro 5 could be launched in 2017 along with the Windows 10 Redstone 2 update.

Microsoft has not issued any official information about the Surface Book 2 and Surface Pro 5.
