China's Vernee Unveils Apollo Lite Smartphone with Helio X20 SoC and 4GB of RAM

Vernee, a new Chinese smartphone company founded in February 2016, has officially unveiled a new inexpensive version of its Apollo flagship, called the Apollo Lite. The handset is expected to be available sometime this coming May with a price tag of $199.99.
In terms of the specifications, the Vernee Apollo Lite features a 5.5-inch display screen with a 1,920 x 1,080 pixel resolution (Full HD), and will come with the Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS out of the box. The phone has a 16 megapixel primary camera with dual-LED flash on the back and a 5 megapixel shooter on the front.

Under the hood, the device is equipped with a MediaTek Helio X20 deca-core processor, like the original model, 4GB of RAM, and 32GB of built-in expandable memory storage. Design-wise, the Vernee Apollo Lite will sport a metallic body with slightly curved edges on the back and thicker bezels on the top and bottom of the phone.
Other specs include dual-SIM functionality, a fingerprint sensor, and a USB Type-C port connector on the bottom. The Vernee Apollo Lite is currently the cheapest Helio X20-powered smartphone available in the market.
In comparison with the previous model, the original Apollo features a 5.5-inch screen with 1,440 x 2,560 pixel resolution (QHD), a MediaTek Helio X20 chipset, a whopping 6GB of RAM, a massive 128GB of internal memory, a 21MP main camera and an 8MP front-facing snapper. In addition to the Apollo Lite, the Chinese company announced that it is also planning to unveil a Lite version of the Vernee Thor device.
