On a windy day at Flushing Meadows, Novak Djokovic, Jo-Wilfried Tsonga and Jon Isner marched on to the next round after finishing off their opponents at the second round of the U.S. Open in New York on Thursday.
World No. 1 Djokovic demolished Paul-Henri Mathieu at the Arthur Ashe Stadium in just under an hour and a half, 6-1, 6-3, 6-0.

The Wimbledon champion Djokovic produced 13 service aces and 33 winners to dismantle the Frenchman in unfavorable windy conditions.
"I think I came up with a very good performance," Djokovic said. "Stayed mentally tough and not allowed myself to get frustrated because of the wind and conditions that were obviously very tough for both of us."
The Serb will now face American Sam Querry in the third round who defeated 28th seed Guilliermo Garcia-Lopez early Thursday.
Thirteenth seed Jon Isner got off to a shaky start in his second round encounter against Jan-Lennard Struff but eventually adjusted to current weather conditions and breezed through the match, 7(7)-6(5), 6-4, 6-2.
The 29-year-old Isner delivered 30 services aces and 54 winners to outlast the German in just less than two hours.
The 13th seed Isner faces another German Phillipp Kohlschreiber in the third round and if he wins, he might face Djokovic in the fourth round.
Rogers Cup champion Tsonga had an easier time against Aleksandr Nedovyesov in the second round than his opening match against Juan Monaco as he defeated the Kazakh in straight sets, 6-3, 6-4, 6-4, in a match that lasted hour and 45 minutes.
Tsonga converted 13 services aces and 38 winners. He always enjoys competing at hard courts for it favors hard-hitting servers like him.
"I just enjoy it because the court is pretty fast, so it's good for my serve," said Tsonga.
The Frenchman is set to face Pablo Carreno Busta in the next round.
