Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are reportedly in a vicious "tug of war" as to whose career should be at the driver's seat.   

According to RadarOnline.com, things have taken a turn for the worse, as the couple has reportedly broken a sacred rule that only one of them should work at any given time, while the other takes care of the children.

"They're at war over who's looking after the kids since that agreement got blown out the window with her desire to turn her directing career into a success after several failures," revealed an insider close to Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt.

 "This is tearing them apart, but Brad's got no choice," the insider continued. "He's done more than enough to help her directing career, even risking his own reputation in her schmaltzy flop By the Sea, and now it's time to get back to work."

The source further disclosed that the "Maleficent" star may be going through a lot of pressure after completing her Netflix film "First They Killed My Father," which was shot in Cambodia.

"She's praying her directing career will be saved by this movie and she's turned into a perfectionist nightmare in the editing suite," said the insider.

Brad Pitt, 52, has been trying his best to be supportive of Angelina Jolie's directorial pursuits, but has supposedly started to lose his patience with the attitude being displayed by his wife towards his professional career.

"He's madly pitching for 'War Machine' to get into Cannes and has hopes it could be a favorite for awards season next year," the insider said.

"He's also about to start filming the 'WWZ sequel, but all of this is not sitting well with his wife," the insider added, fueling rumors that all is not too well in the Angelina Jolie - Brad Pitt household.
