Sophie Turner, famously known for playing Sansa Stark in Game of Thrones, revealed that she is having an identity crisis and feels more comfortable seeing herself as Sansa Stark.

Turner said in a recent interview with Marie Claire, that she knows her character better than she knows herself. The 20-year-old actress walks around the set and sees herself as Sansa Stark rather than her own self.

"Which is strange, because I totally don't know who I am at this point," said Turner.

Sansa Stark, who started out as a pampered daughter of Ned Stark, has developed into a stronger character throughout the succeeding seasons of the TV series.

However, in the fifth season, viewers were shocked to see Turner's character raped on her wedding by her husband Ramsay Bolton, played by Iwan Rheon.

The scene sparked outrage among netizens and viewers. Turner understood the negative reaction to the controversial scene and said that this was one of the plotlines that was difficult to shoot.

Turner said that shooting the scenes was awkward, whether she was close with the co-star or not off-screen.

The actress added that she could not imagine being in that situation. She said that it was one of the most terrifying scenes she experienced.

But from a perspective of an actor, the scenes were challenging and exciting for her, as this was beyond her comfort zone.

The sixth season of Game of Thrones will premiere on April 27. Turner is also set to appear as the young Jean Grey in the upcoming movie "X-Men Apocalypse."
