Middling teams Liaoning Whowin FC (1-2-1, 4 points) and Tianjin Teda FC (1-1-2, 5 points) are set to clash in a 2016 Chinese Super League game scheduled to be held at the Tiexi New District Sports Center in Shenyang, China on April 16th, Saturday.

Liaoning Whowin, who finished last season 12th in the overall standings, did a decent job in their first four outings of the new season.

After opening their campaign with a 1-0 win over Shijiazhuang Ever Bright in March, the team lost to Shandong Luneng in their second game, 2-3, before settling for a 1-1 draw with Henan Jianye in their third fixture.

In their most recent match, though, the Northeast Tigers were crushed in a breakthrough performance by last season's runners-up, Shanghai SIPG, 0-4, at the Shanghai Stadium last Sunday, via Sofa Score.

Four SIPG players scored a goal each in the match, namely local forwards Lu Wenjun and Wu Lei and international strikers Brazilian Elkeson and Ghanaian Asamoah Gyan at the ninth, 45th, 70th, and 79th minutes respectively to complete the four-goal haul of Sven-Göran Eriksson's side.

Liaoning was unable to respond even with a single goal as manager Ma Lin's boys were overwhelmed by Shanghai's attacks all throughout the contest.

Meanwhile, Tianjin Teda nipped Hangzhou Greentown, 1-0, at their home ground of Tianjin Olympic Center Stadium also last Sunday, as per Soccerway.

Senegalese striker Mbaye Diagne provided the winning goal for manager Dragan Okuka's squad at the 74th minute of the match as both teams had a hard time penetrating each other's defenses in the whole game.

The win was the Tianjin Tigers' first for the season after starting it with a loss and two draws in their first three outings.

The predicted result is a close 2-1 win for Liaoning Whowin.
