(Photo : Facebook) There are rumors that the HTC 10 could be released in April.
Taiwanese smartphone manufacturer HTC announced on April 12 its latest flagship device, the HTC 10. HTC said that the smartphone will cost $699 and will run on Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
The HTC 10 has an excellent set of specs, including a 5.2-inch display, a fast Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor, superior camera technology and an all metal case. It also has 4GB of RAM with 32GB of storage space which is also expandable up to 2TB through microSD support, according to PC Advisor.

Despite packing some serious hardware punch, some analysts said that all these high-end specs are not enough to shoot the HTC 10 on top of the already crowded Android market.
In a statement acquired by Computer World, TBR analyst Jack Narcotta said, "Event with a device like the HTC 10, which has a clean design and improved internals, HTC simply lacks the scale to effectively compete with Samsung, Huawei, Xiaomi, ZTE, LG and Lenovo.
Narcotta added that HTC is spot-on in putting together a powerful piece of hardware with the HTC 10. However, the high-end Android market is very "toxic," not only to HTC but to all manufacturers who are selling marketing their devices in that specific market.
Narcotta also predicted that if the recently announced HTC Vive VR virtual reality headset will not do well in sales, HTC is "doomed."
A statistical report from TBR revealed that HTC's share smartphone market in the United States is at a mere four percent. The report added that the figure is even less in the global market.
Analyst firm IDC said that HTC was not able to reach the top five smartphone makers for several years now. In 2015, the Taiwanese company ranked 15th in terms of global smartphone shipments. The company ranks seventh in the US.
