Congratulations are in order for Eva Mendes and her longtime boyfriend Ryan Gosling. Mendes, 42, and Gosling, 35, are expecting their second baby together and the Hitch actress is currently in her second trimester, according to multiple reports.

Reports of Mendes' second pregnancy emerged after she was spotted hiding her growing baby bump during a photo shoot in Los Angeles in February.

The couple welcomed a baby girl named Esmeralda Amada Gosling in September 2014. Mendes and The Nice Guys star have been very private about their personal lives and have not yet shared a picture of their daughter publicly.

Although the two have been tight-lipped about Esmerelda, an insider revealed that the Gosling is "madly in love" with the little one and Mendes is loving every bit of motherhood.

"She's [Mendes] never been happier," the source said. "She and Ryan are just in awe of this beautiful person they created. It's a really special time for them."

The pair, who started dating after meeting on the set of The Place Beyond The Pines, also kept their first pregnancy a secret for several months. 

Mendes "just hasn't ever wanted anyone beyond her close friends and family knowing more than they had to" and Gosling has always been a private person by nature, a source told People.

Mendes had no intention to get married or settle down with a family of her own until she met Gosling. "With Ryan things are different, a source close to the couple revealed. "She's very independent, but she's content with her partner. She finally found the person she really wants to be with."
