The new “Ghostbusters” game is a third-person action role-playing game which features local cooperative play with up to four players. The new characters will have their own personality and play style, which it will contribute benefits to the overall team. Players who battle ghosts, complete objectives, or discover hidden collectibles can level up their character's abilities and gear.
“This July, Ghostbusters returns to screens both big and small. That's right, in addition to the new film from Sony Pictures, this July we're introducing two all-new Ghostbusters adventures for consoles and mobile devices.—Ghostbusters and Ghostbusters: Slime City, respectively,” said Activision Communications Manager Scott Lowe in a blog post.
The “Ghostbusters: Slime City” allows players to craft their own proton packs to be used in collecting powerful ghosts. The more ghosts a player collects, the higher they will rise through the leaderboards. They can also upgrade their headquarters, complete jobs, or team up with other players in asynchronous co-op or compete in special PvP events.
“Slime City” will be available on select iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Android, and Kindle devices. Moreover, the “Ghostbusters” will be released for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One and Windows PC via the Steam platform. Both games are expected to roll out on July 12.
