Los Angeles Clippers' shooting reserve shooting guard Jamal Crawford has been voted as the 2015-16 Kia NBA Sixth Man of the league on Tuesday.

The 36-year-old Seattle, Washington native became the first player to claim the merit three times and broke his record that was set two years ago, as the oldest winner of the annual award.

Crawford garnered 51 first-place votes and 341 total points from a group of 130 broadcasters and sportswriters throughout the United States and Canada. Andre Iguodala of the Golden State Warriors finished second, having 33 first-place votes and with a total of 288 points. Oklahoma City Thunder's Enes Kanter came up third with 182 points (19 first-place votes).

As per the league's rules, players were granted five points for each first-place vote, three points for each second-place vote and one point for each third-place vote. The award requires the players to have come off the bench in more games than they started to be eligible.

Crawford, the 2000 NBA draft 8th overall pick, came off the bench in 74 of his 79 appearances averaging 14.2 points and 2.3 assists in 26.9 minutes in all games he played. He helped the Clippers to finish the regular season with a 53-29 record posting their fourth consecutive 50-win season.

The former University of Michigan Wolverines has registered 33 games with 15 or more points coming off the bench, third-most in the league behind the Will Barton of the Denver Nuggets, who has recorded 38 games and the New Orleans Pelicans' Ryan Anderson, who finished the season with 36.

Crawford netted at least 30 points in four of five matches as a starter for the team. Crawford also ranked second in the NBA in free throw percentage (90.4), according to the league's official website.

The 16-year veteran had previously won the award in 2009-2010 with the Atlanta Hawks and 2013-2014 with the Clippers. Crawford is the only NBA player to scoop the award with multiple teams.
