Capital city squad Beijing Guoan FC (1-2-1, 4 points) will look to build momentum from their first victory of the 2016 Chinese Super League season during the previous matchday as they square off with lowly club Liaoning Whowin FC (1-2-2, 5 points) on April 23rd, Saturday at their home field of Worker's Stadium.

Beijing started the season with three consecutive winless efforts, settling for a goalless draw with Tianjin Teda in their season opener then losing to Yanbian Funde and Guangzhou Evergrande in their next two fixtures all without scoring a single goal.
Current head coach Alberto Zaccheroni were highly criticized for the poor start and was rumored to be close to being sacked, but the Imperial Guards managed to pull off a stunning 3-0 win over tough squad Hangzhou Greentown last Sunday on the road at the Yellow Dragon Sports Center to cool things around, via Goal.
Turkish striker Burak Yilmaz played his debut game for Beijing and instantly opened the scoring for the club this season after picking up "the ball outside of the penalty before smashing home a lovely low strike" past the reach of Hangzhou goalkeeper Zhang Lei at the 63rd minute.
Yilmaz's goal opened the flood gates for Zaccheroni' boys as they unleashed two more in the contest, at the 64th and 78th courtesy of Zhang Xizhe and Brazilian Renato Augusto.
Meanwhile, Liaoning Whowin had been on a downward spiral after winning their season opener versus Shijiazhuang Ever Bright in March as they had been winless in their last four fixtures.
The Northeast Tigers settled for a 2-2 draw with Tianjin Teda in their most recent match held at the Shenyang Olympic Sports Center Stadium last Saturday, as per Soccerway.
Foreign strikers James Chamanga and Ibrahima Touré provided the two goals for Liaoning while Colombian forward Fredy Montero and local defender Cao Yang netted the goals for Tianjin.
The predicted result is a tough 2-1 win for Beijing Guoan to build a two-game winning run.
