Superstar Adele has been named the richest ever female musician in Britain with 796 million yuan ($121 million), according to the Sunday Times Rich List.

The Hello hitmaker grabbed the 30th spot on the top 50 music millionaires in both the UK and Ireland with 796 million yuan, a nearly 328 million yuan ($50.1 million) increase from last year.

The 27-year-old's wealth was boosted following the release of her first album in four years entitled 25. Currently, the album has already sold over 15 million copies across the world, and some of its songs such as When We Were Young and Hello, which was also dubbed the fastest-selling UK single in nearly two decades, have been chart-topping hits.

Even though it was released a little later last year, her album 25 was also named the best-selling album in 2015.

As per Gennaro Castaldo, a British Phonographic Industry spokesperson, Adele's sturdy increase of wealth can be accounted for the fact that she creates her own music, telling CNN that "Adele has that rare ability to stand out and an authenticity that enables her music to connect with fans of all ages and backgrounds."

This year's Music Millionaires List also includes two other female artists, namely, Irish singer Enya who landed on the 28th spot with 852 million yuan ($130.4 million) and Kylie Minogue at no. 42 with 515 million yuan ($78.8 million).

The list was generally dominated by men with Paul McCartney and his wife, Nancy Shevell, securing the top spot with 7.1 billion yuan ($1.08 billion) and musical theatre impresario Andrew Lloyd Webber with 6.7 billion ($1.02 billion) trailing second.   

Moreover, for five years in a row now, Adele has also been reigning the Young Music Rich List, which features young artists under 30. Famous Photograph singer Ed Sheeran came in second with 421 million yuan ($64.4 million), while list newcomers Florence Welch and Sam Smith are tied on the eighth spot with 187 million yuan ($28.6 million).
