Luxury car manufacturer Infiniti has unveiled the successor to its Q30 and QX30 SUVs - a new concept car dubbed the Infiniti QX Sport Inspiration. As with the company's previous versions, the concept design of the new QX Sport Inspiration will serve as a platform for future premium mid-sized SUVs that Infiniti will produce.

The Infiniti QX Sport Inspiration measures 74.8 inches wide, 181 inches long and 65 inches tall. The SUV sports a powerful and muscular exterior. Despite this design, it has very smooth curves that taper toward the rear.

The new concept SUV from Infiniti has a 9-inch ground clearance and the sills, located on each side of the car, serve as steps.

Infiniti describes the interior of the QX Sport Inspiration as "driver-centric, passenger-minded." Infiniti claims the car will have a very spacious interior with mostly black and white palette. The concept SUV also sports a panoramic glass rook which will provide an aura of lightness and airiness. It will also provide shade for occupants in the rear part of the car.

On the dashboard, the QX Sport Inspiration has a dial located on the center console. The dial will allow drivers to switch driving preferences. It also has paddle shifters around the steering wheel which can be used to change gear. There is also a touchscreen panel installed in-between the front seats. Rear occupants will have the ability to control their ventilation preference.

The Infiniti QX Sport Inspiration was unveiled at the Beijing Auto Show and will stay on display at the event until May 4. Since the QX Sport Inspiration is a concept car, it is still unknown whether Infiniti will go into production.

Should the QX Sport Inspiration hit the road in the future, the SUV will go head to head with competitor cars like the Porsche Macan, Jaguar F-Pace, Mercedes-Benz GLC and the BMW X3.
