Even though Yao Ming feels uncomfortable recently, he went to the Chinese and American basketball training in Shanghai.

The temperature outside is above 40 degree, but he is cold when he talked about Chinese basketball. Even though he didn't mention the mistake of Chinese basketball team's failure directly, he spoke out the problem exists in Chinese basketball system now. He said that the campus basketball and experts are two parallel lines and in this situation, it's hard for Chinese to have more experts.
There were 3 couches from American and all of them grew up in NCAA system. They nurtured so many NBA players and know exactly what's the difference between campus basketball and expert game. Yao was volunteered to be the interpreter during the Q&A section. He also asked his own question to those couches.
Generally, Yao is a devotional basketball player. Narrowly, he wants to make a contribution in Chinese basketball career. For him, it's sad he knows what's the problem but so hard to change this situation. Even though he is tall and strong, he cannot change this by himself. "The problem we have now is there are some experts in our country and they went out and know how to train themselves and how to become more professional. But most of people or basketball player don't know. In this situation, it's hopeless to talk about NBA."
He thinks the couch is like a teacher. No matter how smart the student is, if you don't have a good teacher to lead you, it is just waste of time. He thinks the quality of couch can decide the quality of player. If more Chinese players want to play in NBA, we should change the training system and knowledge about Chinese basketball.
