A Mexican woman, who turned 127 years old on Sunday, claims to be the unofficial oldest human alive, as well as the oldest person to have ever lived.
According to her family, Leandra Becerra Lumbreras turned 127 years old on August 31. She claims to have been born in 1887.
Reportedly, her birth certificate was destroyed 40 years ago, leaving very little proof that she is as old as she claims to be.

According to her kin, the birthday girl's secret to living her ripe, long 127 years is never getting married, eating well, and sleeping for days.
She was allegedly an 'Adelitas' leader and fought during the Mexican Revolution from 1910 to 1917.
Living long seems to run in the family as her most recently deceased grandchild died at the age of 90 in 2013.
One of Lumbreras' granddaughters, 43-year-old Miriam Alvear, stated that though her grandma is already suffering from cataracts and is deaf, she still amuses her family by sharing accounts of her adventures, such as being forced to join the Mexican Army.
Old age has also caused Lumbreras to sometimes forget things from her past. However, the 127-year-old has held on to a few prized possessions as remembrance of her adventures in life. These items include an old pocket watch engraved with a steam train, an 1847 silver spoon, a ring, and a pair of golden earrings.
The former seamstress also recounts stories about three of her greatest love affairs, which include a famous revolutionary frontrunner, Margarito Maldonado.
Lumbreras is 14 years older than Japan's Misao Okawa, the current Guinness World record-holder in being the oldest person currently living. Meanwhile, she is around 4 years older than Jeanne Calment of France, Guinness' oldest person to ever live.
Okawa was crowned the world's oldest living human at 114 years old in 2013 while Calment was confirmed the oldest human to have ever lived at 122 years old.
