Contending team Henan Jianye FC (3-2-1, 10 points) is scheduled to host middling squad Hangzhou Greentown FC (2-3-1, 7 points) at their home field of Zhengzhou Hanghai Stadium on Saturday, April 30th as the 2016 Chinese Super League season continues.

Henan Jianye stopped a three-game winless slide after they defeated newly-promoted side Yanbian Funde FC, 2-1, on the road at the Yanji Nationwide Fitness Centre Stadium last Saturday, as per Goal.

Danish defender Eddi Gomes scored the first goal of the match at the 13th minute off an assist by Australian teammate Ryan McGowan to put up a one-point advantage at the half. The team then doubled their lead at the restart with a goal from Filipino striker Javier Patiño at the 77th from a cross by local midfielder Feng Zhuoyi.

Last year's China League One champions netted a consolation goal at the 77th courtesy of midfielder Cui Ren.

The Red Devils opened the season with two consecutive victories over Shanghai SIPG and Chongqin Lifan before going on three straight winless efforts against Liaoning Whowin, Jiangsu Suning, and Guangzhou Evergrande.

Meanwhile, Hangzhou Greentown also managed to snap a two-game losing skid after settling for a 1-1 draw with Chongqing Lifan at the Yellow Dragon Sports Center on April 22nd, via Soccerway.

After both teams finished the first half of the contest scoreless, Hangzhou midfielder Feng Gang netted the opening goal at the 69th while Chongqing midfielder Wang Dong was able to equalize in stoppage time to salvage the tie and share a point in the overall standings.

The Green Giants won two of their first three games in the season before going on their current three-game winless run.

The predicted result is a close 2-1 win for Henan Jianye.
