Memphis Grizzlies center Marc Gasol had recently predicted that his elder brother, Chicago Bulls center-forward Pau Gasol, will sign with the San Antonio Spurs in the offseason.
Bleacher Report indicated that the younger Gasol "guesses" that his older brother Pau "would be playing for a bitter rival next season" and that would be the five-time NBA champion Spurs.

"If I had to guess-not that I've talked to him about it-would be San Antonio," Gasol said in a recent radio interview.
The 31-year-old Grizzlies big man further said that he would advise Pau to join San Antonio if he was the one handling his brother's career, saying that "the way (the Spurs) manage everything, the way they work as a franchise from top to bottom" makes the team the ideal landing spot for his big brother in the summer.
Pau just finished the second year of his three-year, $22.3 million deal with the Bulls, which comes with a player option this summer. Speculations abound that the 35-year-old Spaniard is intending to opt out and become an unrestricted free agent and test the market this July when the salary cap is set to significantly rise after the NBA pulled off a new TV deal.
The report noted that Gasol's "destination will ultimately depend on what he wants at this stage of his career" and it is highly likely that he would like to add more championships in his hardware and will choose to join a team that will make it a real possibility for him.
Meanwhile, Fox Sports opined that it might "simply be reverse psychology" on the part of Marc as there were also rumors of an impending reunion of the two in Memphis next season.
If Gasol indeed joins the Spurs next season, then he would more likely come off the bench, something that would be ideal for him at this late stage of his career, as well as accept a pay cut and a much lesser role.
