The highly-anticipated first-person shooter game 'Superhot' will finally make its Xbox One debut on May 3. The game was initially launched on the Linux, PlayStation 4 and PC platforms in February.

Some tech analysts claim that the Xbox One edition of 'Superhot' is the focal point of the game's recent development efforts. There are rumors that the team behind 'Superhot' is gearing to release it on the virtual reality platform sometime next week.

'Superhot' is widely regarded as a fresh and innovative take on the first-person shooter genre. The game also introduces a new type of gameplay mechanics in which time only flows when the player is in motion. Gamers can essentially remain stationary to freeze time at any point during the game. This type of gameplay allows players to immobilize enemies and freeze a speeding bullet in mid-air.

While time is frozen, players can think of an alternate way to tackle a certain scenario. When time is frozen, players can also create alternative attack points where they can catch enemies off-guard. 'Superhot' is also filled with environmental weapons and objects that players can interact and use to create a chain of attacks that are fluid and stylish.

During the early stages of the game, 'Superhot' encourages players to create elaborate attack patterns. Experienced players can blaze through bullet-ridden levels in record time and share their feats via the replay-sharing website Killstagram.

Aside from the high-octane single player campaign, 'Superhot' also includes a survival-based Endless mode. There is also a Challenge mode where players are restricted to using only hand-to-hand combat. The developers of 'Superhot' claim that additional modes and features will be rolled out as free updates in the coming months.

The development of 'Superhot' was initially funded via a Kickstarter campaign. The campaign was able to earn more than $250,000 in pledges. After more than 30 months in development, the finished game was released for the Linux, PC and PlayStation 4 platforms in February.
