The 26th Twenty20 of the ninth edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) will be played between Gautam Gambhir's Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Zeheer Khan-led Delhi Daredevils (DD) on Saturday. The two sides will take on each other at DD's home ground Feroz Shah Kotla in Delhi.

KKR, a Shahrukh Khan-owned franchise, retained second position at IPL 2016 points table despite a six wicket loss in their in last game against Mumbai Indians. Batting first, KKR posted 174 runs for the loss of five wickets in 20 overs. Mumbai Indians' skipper Rohit Sharma (68) and Kieron Pollard (51) guided their side to an easy win on Thursday.

"I think, first probably we were 15 (runs) short with the bat and like we got off to a great start, didn't really capitalize on the platform that we set it," KKR's Chris Lynn said after the loss.

Delhi Daredevils, who have won three out of their last five matches, are looking to get back to winning ways after their loss against Gujarat Lions on Wednesday. DD' Chris Morris almost carried his side to a victory with a fierce knock of 82 runs off just 32 balls.
