With a budget of $150 million dollars, "Jurassic World" conquered the big screen by earning a whopping domestic gross total of $650 million dollars, and earning about $1.6 billion dollars worldwide. This is why it is not surprising that producers would want its sequel to surpass what the first movie has achieved monetarily.

It is said that fans can expect "Jurassic World 2" to be out by June 2018, and that would be 2 years from now. With this allocated time, it should be expected that the sequel will be as great, or might be greater, than the first film, even if the director of the first "Jurassic World" movie, Colin Trevorrow, has been replaced by another director from the "Penny Dreadful" television series.

It has been reported that J.A. Bayona will be directing the next installment. The reason behind Trevorrow's replacement is the fact that the director may no longer fill his role effectively because he will also be directing a top film - Disney and Lucas film's "Star Wars Episode 9."

The confirmation that it will be Bayona directing "Jurassic World 2" was announced on the official Twitter account of "Jurassic World." As a matter of fact, the director said on his twitter account that he was proud working with Bayona as the new director of the sequel. Trevorrow is reported to still be a part of the "Jurassic World 2" team as one of its executive producers.

On the other hand, the plot of "Jurassic World 2" is rumored to focus on dinosaurs outside the island where they were initially placed. Given this information, fans may expect for a possible chaotic situation, wherein humanity will try to live among the dinosaurs.

Meanwhile, the lead actors of the franchise are set to reprise their roles in the upcoming film. Chris Pratt, who plays the lead actor in the movie as Owen, is definitely coming back, along with Bryce Dallas Howard, who plays Claire in the franchise and is expected to be Owen's love interest in "Jurassic World 2."
