The Sacramento Kings are reportedly considering to "test the market" for franchise center DeMarcus Cousins this summer.

Last summer, the 25-year-old big man had been mentioned in one of the most intriguing trade rumors with the Los Angeles Lakers that included the latter's second overall pick in the 2015 NBA Draft, which turned out to be point guard D'Angelo Russell.

The speculations died out and there were reports that Sacramento and LA actually had some discussions between them involving the two-time NBA All-Star at that time, but ultimately Kings vice president and general manager Vlade Divac chose to keep Cousins and push through with the experiment with then head coach George Karl.

However, times "may be changing" according to Lakers Nation as Sacramento is said to be "willing to test the market" in the offseason for the former Kentucky standout.

The report cited Sacramento Bee's Ailene Voisin as saying that "Divac is tempted by the prospect of pairing his center with his personally selected coach but that he has become increasingly frustrated by his center's ongoing issues and, for the first time, is willing to test the market for the two-time All-Star".

Aside from that, Cousins is allegedly becoming a bane to his teammates as well, as the report mentioned that "apart from Rondo, Cousins has few friends among his teammates. Several players privately have complained to management about his mood swings and disrespect for those around him, including his coaches and in particular Karl".

In a recent interview, Karl told ESPN that he never "got into a good place" with the star center as he also felt that the team's management sided with Cousins during their time together in Sacramento.

The 64-year-old veteran mentor referred to the incident when Cousins, in the presence of Divac, shouted profanities at him inside the team's locker room and the GM overruled Karl's decision to suspend the player and just fine him instead.

"That night the bomb went off," the coach said. "Vlade was right there. When they supported Cousins instead of me, I felt, 'OK, I'm in the compromise position. Cuz has the power."

Divac may finally be getting tired of trying to keep Cousins happy as the former NBA player could not see any progressive result. The Kings finished the 2015-2016 regular season with a dismal 33-49 record and have still not qualified to the playoffs in all of Cousins' six seasons with the franchise.
